| Greetings!
We're doubling the size of our facility this month -
it's business as usual, but no doubt some things will fall
through the cracks - so thanks in advance for your patience
while we move.
This month Joey Leone unveils his new Signature
Model, Don Mackrill puts Tone Knobs on notice, Michael
Wright jaws-off about an 80's classic, Rob Roberge let's us know what we've been missing and Kirk Lorange drops back in with a lesson in Open Air.
We are adding yet another section this month entitled YOU TUBE and your EASTWOOD where we will link to this
months EASTWOOD Videos, and Johnny Hawthorn offers some
advise for your recording project.

I have always dreamed of a guitar that would combine the
features of my favorite guitars, yet be able to get many
sounds from it, all of which would be useable sounds. This
guitar would have to be functional, beautiful, easy to play,
and affordable - the Joey Leone Signature Model Guitar for
Eastwood.

Cue the music. Duh-DUH-duh-DUH-duh-DUH-duh- DUH? Fin cuts
water. Girl screams. The big Jaws open. That's right, folks,
we're talking about sharks. Killer sharks with a taste for
teens. Only this monster is a guitar! From Minnesota, no
less!

Under the RADAR - The Dream Syndicate
by Rob Roberge
So, we're all guitar geeks here, right? And this quest for
tone we're all on is (or should be, at any rate) about the
music that comes out at the end of the search. So, this month,
I wanted to add to my normal column about great guitars and
amps full of tone that have slipped under the mondo-expensive
collectors' radars an album worthy of revisiting.

Guitar amps have tone controls. Always have, always will.
Maybe. More tone controls are better – treble, middle, bass –
a tone stack for every channel! Always has been, always will
be. Maybe not! WHY?

I was fiddling around on my new acoustic the other day,
exploring and experimenting with the use of open strings in
unusual configurations and came up with an interesting piece I
call 'Open Air' ... I thought I'd share it with you, mainly
because it forces you to really think about what you're
playing rather than just flipping the autopilot switch and
reworking familiar ground.

Finally have some more info and pictures on the TUXEDO, coming April 2007. Also, Guitar Player Magazine
gave me 30 seconds to spout off about our new products at
NAMM. Only showing you this because the camera man kept
telling me that the pattern in my shirt was going to break
his camera...
